EA Sports FC 27 is bringing major changes to Squad Building Challenges (SBCs), making one of Ultimate Team’s most time-consuming systems faster and easier to manage. But how exactly will the new SBC overhaul work, and what does it mean for players? With a more efficient SBC system, managing resources like FC 27 Coins will become even more important as players look to upgrade squads, complete challenges, and build stronger Ultimate Teams.

A New Way to Complete SBCs
For years, SBCs have required players to carefully build squads that match strict conditions, including overall ratings, chemistry, leagues, nations, and player positions. While the system created interesting puzzles, many players felt it became repetitive, especially when completing multiple challenges every week.

FC 27’s streamlined SBC system aims to reduce unnecessary menu grinding by simplifying squad requirements. Instead of focusing heavily on building a perfectly balanced team, many challenges will reportedly move toward a more straightforward scoring system. Players can submit eligible cards based on their total value rather than spending extra time fixing chemistry links and position issues.

How the New SBC System Works
The biggest change is expected to be a points-based approach. Each player item will contribute a certain amount of value depending on factors such as overall rating. Instead of searching for specific combinations, users can simply add players until they reach the required target.

For example, if an SBC requires a certain score, players may be able to complete it by combining several high-rated cards or using more lower-rated items. This gives users more freedom when managing their clubs and reduces the frustration of finding exact squad solutions.

The updated system could also make duplicate management easier. Many Ultimate Team players currently struggle with untradeable duplicates filling their storage. A more flexible SBC structure would allow users to turn unwanted cards into rewards more efficiently instead of leaving valuable items unused.

What Does This Mean for FUT Players?
The SBC overhaul could significantly change how players approach Ultimate Team. Casual players may find it easier to complete challenges without spending hours researching solutions, while experienced traders could have more control over how they use their club resources.

The change may also impact the FUT economy. If high-rated cards become easier to use in SBCs, demand for certain player items could shift. Cards that were previously difficult to fit into squads may become more valuable as flexible SBC resources.

For players building competitive teams, managing resources such as FC 27 Coins will remain important. A more efficient SBC system means users can complete upgrades faster, but smart spending and market decisions will still determine how quickly squads improve.

Final Thoughts
The FC 27 SBC overhaul looks designed to make Ultimate Team smoother, faster, and less focused on repetitive squad-building tasks. By replacing complicated requirements with a simpler system, EA could make SBCs more accessible while giving players greater freedom with their collections.
